I have a major love affair with all things Sushi so when I was asked to give Katana Teppanyaki & Sushi in Buckhead, Atlanta a try, I did not hesitate to say yes! My favorite type of Sushi is definitely Nigiri. No frills needed. Just a beautiful piece of fresh fish draped perfectly over a ball of rice does it for me every time but I am always up for trying just about any type of sushi!
Katana declares themselves as a modern twist on sushi and Teppanyaki (which is basically another word for hibachi). They have the Teppanyaki seating on one side of the restaurant and traditional dining on the other. I did not experience the Teppanyaki portion but would be willing to give it a shot sometime in the near future!
Now on to their menu. They brought us an array of delicious, signature sushi dishes with an assortment of sushi and sashimi, nigiri and traditional sushi rolls.
Can you say, YUM!?And don’t forget the perfect signature cocktail! They have you covered from spicy to sweet with many delicious flavor profiles!
I was really there for the sushi but if you are not as keen on sushi they also have several hot dishes I had the pleasure of trying. The meat dishes had a very unique flavor to them, were very tender and served with finesse.
Overall I had a very pleasant experience dining at Buckhead, Atlanta Katana Teppanyaki & Sushi. My favorite part by far was their nigiri and delightfully plated sashimi dishes as well as the signature cocktail, Victim of Love (can we say Valentine’s perfect date?). I would definitely recommend the Katana experience to anyone planning to be in the Buckhead area and looking for a unique sushi dining experience!
